(STUDENTS AND STUDIES) First Thing First {must read!!!!!!}

If we are taking about ''Student and Studies'' without lying doing {mago mago}it is a long way to go, because the way students of nowadays handle their studies really, really discourage parents/guardian from supporting them. But i think with this, it might have an impact in their life.

     Student is a school pupil, who is studying to enter a profession. You saw that word right?, ''studying''. Student who study to reach great heights, student who study to overcome challenges and also student who study to conquer.

     Let me lead you to the main theme or idea, if you want to be a student you must study and if you want to study you mus be student. What and what will a student do, it i abbreviated to this word R.S.VP, read, study, visualize and pray. A student should always read for many purpose that is known to you.In the class, at home, and at night because if you do not read you can not study.

     Study as if everyday is an exam day, take every thing as a challenge that you will never retreat or surrender for, learning never stop because there is no island of knowledge.

     Learn how to visualize, because if you can not you would not be able to understand things quickly. When you are learning create a personal and understandable image in your mind to find it easy, though everything is not easy. That thing you are reading or studying might not be so clear to you but, with the ability of visualizing it will look simple to you, just bring bring an image that is opposite or that look like it then analyze it after thorough thinking and processing you are good to go. NOTE; It is called IMAGERY in Literature in English.

     Pray in any situation you are because any thing without God and prayer is useless and impossible, but if you apply prayer your work will be possible,successful and useful. Prayer is the master key, we all know that. After reading, studying, visualizing then back it up with a gigantic prayer, not only your studies but everything you do, if you do this everything will be successful and remember never hurt other people feelings and never do evil.

      Do not forget ''First Thing First'', if you want to be a student you must study and if you want to study you must be a student. The word study is derived from the word student, take note

    Let me take you into the limelight, in Senior Secondary Schools there are three (3) different department that holds different portfolio and courses and even jobs. We have Science Department, Commercial Department and Art/Humanity Department, let me start with the Science Department.

SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

 

     You have to be a good determiner if you are heading to this department, because it deals with calculation, discoveries, experiments, lab practicals etc. You will also be a good Mathematician. Student who head to this department are does who want to be an universal job-man unlike local workers, like Doctor, Engineer, Pilot, Mechanic, Radiographer etc. See below the subject offered by Science Student.

This one is what i like to talk about, because i belong to this department, i am not just an Art student but, a proud and responsible art student.

    Art department mainly concentrate on Creativity, History, Governance, Language and Entertainment, i can say it is the most fascinating and awesome department because of countless reason, let me leave those reason for another good day.

    With my countless research, i discover that Art department has the best subjects followed by the Brain Box Department (Science Department). There are thousands of career under this awesome department like, Legal Practitioner, Mass Communicator, Theater Artiste, Creative Artiste, Linguistic and so on. I know i am a creation of God. I know God has a purpose of creating me, God has provided for my Parents, Government and it's Agencies, as a support for me to fulfill this purpose. To me, God has given me not only life, but also the necessary support i need to succeed. Knowing that to God, i shall give the account of my mission here on earth, i owe my self the duty of making my path to my own future.

To this end, i promise to co-operate with my Parents, Government and teachers, in their effort of giving me good education, i will shun trauncies any form of examination malpractice, i will not form violence and i will not join any secret cult, i will endeavor to be a good example to my mate and young ones, by being honest obedient and studious. I will participate in all activities that enhance my physical growth, emotional stability, educational upliftment, so help me god. AMEN

The Lagos State Creed, is a believed write-up or acceptable doctrine, written in set of beliefs or any summary of principles or opinions professed or adhere to.
   It is meant to be recite during morning assembly in Lagos State Schools, a reading or statement of believe that summarizes the faith and the duty of student generally. It also represent and remind students of their duty, obligation and forbidden act inside and outside the school.
   At the other side of the same coin, all student i mean, ''ALL STUDENT'' should be able to memorize and recite the Lagos State Creed because, it is also what makes you a complete, qualified and responsible student,not for you to mime when orders are reciting it, it is also your duty to know it and also to comply to what the text illustrate.

THE HISTORY/ABOUT APAPA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Apapa senior high school is a special public school located at ''No 43, Pelewura Crescent, Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria''. The special  school comprises student from different ethnic groups in the country,that is why it is established to represent the school in dressing and to promote academic and moral excellence.The school uniform goes thus. A well made green trouser for the boys, and also a green skirt for the girls,with the combination of plain white shirt with the school badge place on the left hand side of the shirt. A pair of brown sandal and plain white socks,and a green  neck tie for the latter.That is the awesome uniform of the special school above,you could be wondering that how is this school a special school❓,this is the format, if you take a close look, back to what i have been saying, the school comprises student from different ethnic groups in the country,i mean Yoruba student,Igbo,Hausa,Fulani,Ibibio,egun and also student outside Nigeria like Ghana,Cameroon,Benin,to mention few there is still more,but time will not permit me so let me save your time.I will be back to tell you more but before i do that, let me take you into the world of history of Apapa Senior High School.

SCHOOL HISTORY
Apapa Senior High School was established by the late Alhaji Lateef Jakande,led civil administration on 26th of September 1980.The school started with 586 students,19 teaching staff and 6 non-staffs.At the end of the first week of resumption,50 student were transferred to the nearby school United Christian Senior Secondary School,leaving the school with 536 student.It was later split into junior and senior schools on 6th January 2003.Since then Apapa Senior High School has ranked among the best senior secondary schools in the state with many awards being won by both staff and students. The demographics shows that all major ethnic groups of Nigeria are represented thereby giving it a National outlook. It is needful to state that the Old students too are pulling their weights both at the Local and National Level.
